In Somaliland in East Africa, 12-year-old Daeka has taken a 360° photo to show the effects of drought in her village. To complement the photo, ActionAid has created resources to help pupils understand what drought is and how it affects people, plants and animals. The resources consist of:
  • Teachers' notes
  • Colourful case study posters
  • A downloadable PDF photo pack
  • A selection of worksheets.
The resources would be most suitable for primary English/literacy and Geography lessons (ages 5 to 11) but could also be adapted for early secondary level (11 to 14).
