Developing the Global Dimension in the School Curriculum

Created by

This booklet shows how the global dimension can be integrated across the curriculum and into the wider life of schools. It was published by a consortium of government bodies and NGOs: DFID, DfES, QCA, DEA and the British Council. It includes a subject-by-subject guide, along with National Curriculum links. There are also sections about the benefits of incorporating a global dimension for both pupils and teachers and ideas for enriching existing school activities and improving standards. The booklet has many case studies to illustrate how schools are including a global dimension in school life, through a variety of classroom and whole-school activities.
