The GLP is working with primary, secondary and special schools across the UK, giving teachers the professional skills to teach pupils about the facts of poverty and underdevelopment, and help young people develop the knowledge and skills to think critically about global development. The GLP will reach 50% of schools in the UK by 2018, ensuring that young people understand their role in a globally-interdependent world and can explore strategies to make it more just and sustainable. The GLP is managed separately in each UK nation to reflect devolved education policy.
The Global Learning Programme is funded by the UK Government.
