The Teach Peace Secondary pack is aimed at 11–18-year-olds and follows on from the success of the Teach Peace Pack for primary school pupils. Published in 2024, this pack offers over 50 cross-curricular lessons tackling peace education from different perspectives including challenging antisemitism and Islamophobia, conflict transformation, religion and peace, the human rights effects of the arms trade, how to nurture inner peace and lots, lots more.

The themes and ideas touched upon in this pack allow educators to introduce young learners to the principles of inner, interpersonal, and community-based peace. Through these resources, students are able to develop curious and compassionate skills of empathy and hope, building cultures of reconciliation, solidarity and positive regard for others.

Peace education is not confined to a single subject area. It can enhance many programmes of study across your curriculum. In the lesson catalogue you can see the main curriculum links for each lesson and whether it relates more to inner peace, interpersonal peace or global peace.

This resource will help to ensure peace is a key theme in children’s education and help to celebrate peace and peacemakers in schools. The pack can be downloaded for free from The Peace Education Network shop via TES.com.
