The Way to School

Created by

This beautiful picture book for young readers is full of stunning photos from around the world showing the the remarkable, and often dangerous, journeys children make every day on their way to and from school. No simple school bus picks them up each day, but rather children travel through disaster zones, cross rapids, climb mountains, and hang from zip-lines to get to their classroom. Some of them even carry their desks! A great book to prompt discussion of similarities and differences, and to give a glimpse into other children's lives. Every image demonstrates these children's desire for an education and the physical commitment they make each day as they journey to school. Proceeds from the sales of this book will be donated to Plan International UK.
