Created by
An adaptable and engaging resource for the learning and teaching of development, poverty and inequalities. It takes Bangalore as a case study and looks at the causes and impacts of urban poverty, including the role of urbanisation and push-pull factors of rural to urban migration. The programme then provides positive images of management strategies, including self-help housing and women's groups that are being used to address these inequalities.
As well as the 40-minute film, there are extensive teachers' notes and student activities. The resource links in with many English exam board specifications; for further details, visit the Pumpkin Interactive website.
