Encounter Edu has developed a range of online teaching resources to help teachers bring the issue of conservation into the classroom using the case study of the rhino in South Africa. The lessons are designed to be used in the GCSE and AS/A2 level Geography classroom.
The lessons are part of the Voices of Conservation programme which supports young people to learn more about conservation issues and provides opportunities for students to win a place on conservation missions to South Africa.
Resources include factsheets on rhino poaching and the potential solutions; an assembly script; slideshows; film clips and articles.
You need to register on the website to download the resources, but they are all free.
