Show the Love With Your School

Contains 1 item
The Climate Coalition's annual springtime 'Show the Love' campaign encourages schools and pupils to 'show the love' for things they care deeply about, that are being affected by climate change. They have developed a set of three teaching activities with creative, crafty and exciting ways for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils (ages 5 to 11) to enjoy and understand the world around them, learn about how climate change affects the everyday things they love, and share the message in their community.
  • Craft green hearts: a great way to get pupils talking about how climate change is affecting the people, places and things they love.
  • Notice the changes around you: pupils use a checklist to look for signs of climate change as winter moves into spring. This data can be submitted online to help scientists track the effects of weather and climate change on wildlife.
  • Treasure hunt: this activity nurtures curiosity and helps young people discover hidden messages and facts, as well as encouraging them to learn about how to navigate the world around them.
