Suitable for supporting secondary Geography, Citizenship or English lessons, this ActionAid resource on the refugee crisis will help your students to understand the lives and experiences of refugees as they tell their own stories. Sometimes the stories we hear are so powerful that our only task is to amplify the voices of those involved. This download provides three stories of refugees, in their own words. You'll hear from:
  • Siba, 19, who had to leave her parents behind in Syria after her father was injured by an exploding bomb
  • Narges, 20, who has brought her young son on the perilous journey from Iran to Lesvos
  • Ryad, 35, who escaped Isis (Daesh), with his young family, only for their boat to break down in the Mediterranean Sea.
