One Day is a beautiful, vibrant story following fifteen different children from around the world through a 24 hour period. Readers find out all about their different families, homes, schools, meals and much more. They also discover how time zones work, and what’s happening on one side of the world while the other side sleeps. This is a fantastic and accessible introduction to the concept of time and time zones for a younger audience. It also contains extra material exploring how time is measured and why.
The book is written by Suma Din, a qualified teacher and mother of three. It is beautifully illustrated by Christiane Engel. Suggested as suitable for ages 8 and above, but it could also be used with younger children.
