These French language resources from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) UK are free and can be downloaded for use in the classroom. They are at a language level suitable for GCSE, IGCSE, Middle Years Programme and adult learners. Resources include:
- Two worksheets and a film on the story of Mirlanda, a young girl who survived the earthquake in Haiti in 2010.
- Three worksheets based on interviews with Josie, an English nurse, who set up a temporary children’s hospital in Port-au-Prince after the earthquake in Haiti.
- A series of posters in French which illustrates aspects of the work of MSF, such as the use of an inflatable field tent, treatment of malnutrition and the transport of vaccines to the field. Each poster is accompanied by comprehension activities for students.
