Imagine Teaching Resource
The illustrated book 'Imagine' follows one pigeon as she sets out on a journey to spread a message of hope and tolerance around the world. Featuring the lyrics of John Lennon’s iconic song and illustrations by award-winning artist Jean Jullien, this book dares to imagine a world at peace.
Amnesty International has developed a primary school teaching resource which offers creative and interesting ways for young people to explore the issues raised by the book, in both words and pictures. There is also a separate activity to create bunting, and a website to share messages of peace.
This would be a great book and set of activities to use during International Day of Peace (21 September).
