The Global Advocate Exhibition from Leeds Development Education Centre features 9 inspiring case studies of children and adults taking action for a fairer world.
The accompanying teachers’ pack (including DVD) supports work around diversity, design, active citizenship, political education and the global dimension. It is designed for Key Stages 2 and 3 (ages 7-14) but could also be used with older or younger students. The pack includes classroom activities; case study cards for small group work; a ‘create your own poster’ file to enable young people to ‘put themselves’ in the exhibition; and a Global Challenge film of young people taking actions on the UN’s Millennium Development Goals.
The exhibition is made up of 10 eye-catching banners and can be hired from Leeds DEC at a cost of £50 per week plus delivery. This includes purchase of the teachers pack – which can also be purchased separately, price £14.99 plus postage.
