The first in a series of termly activity kits for members of Think Global’s Schools Network. Available to members each term, each issue of The global dimension in my classroom includes a range of activities, ideas, case studies and more to help you explore global connections.
- A ‘Getting started’ section provides introductory or bite-sized activities to get students thinking about global issues.
- A ‘Getting critical’ section explores issues in more depth.
- A ‘Case study’ section gives examples of how teachers have examined global issues in their classroom.
Each kit features a range of resources, covering different topics and perspectives and offering thought-provoking ways to get young people engaged with global issues.
This first edition is focused on secondary classrooms (Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, ages 11-16+) and aims to help you begin your global dimension journey, or think about where to go next. It starts with young people’s own lives, giving you ideas on how to encourage your students to explore the ways their daily choices and actions link them to people and places around the world.
