An interview with an expert on Microfinance in Kenya.
Microfinance is a response to the financial needs of the poor – those that have been locked out of lending from commercial banks. As well as lending money, the microfinance bank also trains people in a range of skills, such as basic accounting and teamwork.
This could be used in teaching about alternative methods of development assistance.
