An interview with an expert on HIV/AIDS in Tanzania.
An estimated 34 million people were estimated to be living with HIV/AIDS, as of 2011. Thirty million of these live in low and middle income countries. Due to the development of some countries in Africa, the healthcare and welfare system is limited. HIV/AIDS has caused an increase in child-headed households.
This article could be used in the teaching of development and health geographies.
