12 August every year: Celebrating the experiences and voices of young people.
Set up in 2000, the United Nations International Youth Day celebrates the experiences and voices of young people. Each year has a different annual theme, for example International Youth Day 2017 was dedicated to celebrating young people’s contributions to conflict prevention and transformation as well as inclusion, social justice, and sustainable peace.
