Every 1st of May International Workers Day celebrates the social and economic achievements of the international labour movement, and promotes social justice and internationally recognised human and labour rights.

This day is also widely known as May Day as for many European countries the 1st of May is traditionally the day to take part in an ancient festival celebrating of the coming of spring spring.
