Inter Faith Week (Scotland)
An event every year that begins at 12:00 am on day 8 of November, repeating indefinitely
Second week in November: Aims to strengthen inter-faith relations and increase understanding.
Inter Faith Week aims to strengthen good inter-faith relations, increase awareness of different and distinct faith communities and increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious belief.
Celebrating and building on the contribution which members of different faith and non-faith communities make to their neighbourhoods and wider society is central to these aims.
The Week is facilitated in Scotland by Interfaith Scotland and usually runs from the second or third Sunday in November.
Further information and resources are available on the Interfaith Scotland website. And you can find further teaching resources to help celebrate Inter Faith Week in your school by browsing through the resources listed in our database under the topic ‘Religion’.
