Six e-learning modules: Developing a global learning school
27 April @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm| £500
Online course for Key Stage 2 & 3 teachers running over 6 weeks: 1.5 hours every Thursday, starting 27 April 2017. Eligible for GLP e-credits.
This course will run for 6 consecutive weeks on Thursdays, starting on 27 April. The course is designed to give teachers the space and time to reflect upon teaching international development and global issues in the classroom. In particular, it will support teachers to explore and critique relevant resources and ideas together, and give them greater confidence to advocate global learning back in their own school community. It will also support teachers to gain confidence in online learning.
Through participating in this course teachers will be able to more confidently discuss global learning, in the context of their own school agenda. They will be inspired to discuss and debate definitions of poverty and development, and consider how this relates to their own classroom practice. By the end of the day teachers will be more confident to choose, use and advocate good quality global learning resources in their school, in order to support curriculum development.
Think Global fully supports the idea of embedding global learning across the whole school curriculum, and this 6 week course will be delivered within this context. The course will equip teachers to feel more confident in discussing global learning to their school leadership team and beyond.
