Radio for Change
This CD-ROM is the result of a project where local groups made radio programmes about local and global issues. The material is organised into the eight key principles defined in the DFES booklet Developing the Global Dimension in the School Curriculum (global citizenship, human rights, social justice, diversity, interdependence, sustainable development, values and perceptions and conflict resolution).
Each section allows you to listen to the radio programme, suggests classroom activities to explore themes and has additional web links for more information. As different groups produced each programme, not all activities are suitable for all ages. For example, some of the audio extracts in the conflict resolution section contain strong language. You may need to spend some time fully exploring all the sections to find material appropriate for your class or that can be adapted to your needs.
