Cumbria Development Education Centre (CDEC)
CDEC work with teachers, students and other education providers in promoting the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to participate in a multicultural society and interdependent world. Our specialism is in supporting and developing teaching and learning methods that promote enquiry and critical awareness, developing values and attitudes, and supporting pupil voice.
What we offer:
- support and training on all aspects of global citizenship, including equality and diversity, sustainable development and social justice.
- School linking - support programmes on developing link partners both local and global.
- Philosophy for children - introductory sessions and SAPERE accredited level 1 courses.
- Resources - an exclusive collection of books, activity packs, artefacts for loan through our resource bases in Cumbria.
